Community rules
Last updated: 6 November 2026
PollHall is for honest, respectful discussion of public issues. These rules apply to everyone, in every language.
The rules
- Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people. No personal attacks, abuse or slurs.
- No hate. Nothing that attacks or insults any religion, caste, community, gender, region or language, and no calls for violence.
- Be truthful. No fake news or claims you know are false. Share a source where you can.
- Protect privacy. No phone numbers, addresses, photos or private details of anyone, and no posts about private individuals.
- Be yourself. Do not pretend to be another person, official or organisation.
- One person, one voice. No fake or extra accounts, bots, paid or coordinated voting, spam or promotions.
- No betting. No betting, gambling, money games, or offers of money or gifts for votes.
- Respect elections. No exit-poll results or campaign messages during Election Commission silence periods.
- Keep it legal. Nothing sexual, nothing harmful to children, and nothing that threatens India’s security or public order.
If the rules are broken
- The content is hidden or removed.
- Repeated or serious breaches lead to suspension or closure of the account.
